Day 2 - Holzgau to Lech, Austria

Today started out wet and dreary. Luckily we took longer than planned to get going and the sun came out. After a 300m (1000 ft.) climb through rolling hills and through one short tunnel, the riders took a break in the town of Warth. From there, it was all down hill (not figuratively) toward our destination of Lech, a tourist hotspot in Western Austria.

The distance was so short that we arrived early afternoon, giving plenty of time to sightsee and relax. Most riders took a gondola up a mountain for lunch and enjoyed the sauna and steam room in the Hotel. Dinner was a step up from the ordinary in a delightful café.

Sunburn of the Day: Nobody - the day was too short and the sun wasn't out much
Austrian Tradition: Giving small glass of water to wash down the coffee

Quotes:
"I don't what this is, but it isn't terrible."
-Bronson, commenting on his lunch

"I don't care if I don't smell good as long as I don't stink"
-Joe, putting on the same bike shorts from yesterday

"I'm a hugging machine"
-David, while hugging everybody goodbye

"Don't worry, I'm a doctor"
-Ken, passing through the coed sauna

"I mean, I like most pasta - spaghetti is ok; I wouldn't throw it out of bed."
-John, considering dinner options

"Does anybody have a cigarette?"
-John, being extremely sarcastic at dinner

"Sushi? No, we don't have McDonalds either."
-Lech Information Center

"I ate so much I even went into the forest and hunted down a deer."
-Andy, in response to John's recount of his one energy bar day
